Schultz Wins 2005 PC Over Convers In Playoff

Nov 20, Crystal River, Fla – Winconsin's Barry Schultz battled to keep a slim lead through the final holes of round three, until Oklahoma's Ron Convers crept back in to share the lead on 16. When Converse struggled to take a four on 17, Schultz went OB near the basket, and had to hit a big putt to maintain the tie.

Eighteen was a deuce push for the two. Then on the first hole of the playoff, Converse sent his second shot 35 feet from the basket, and Schultz parked his within 15 feet. When Convers just missed the critical putt, it was all over as Barry Schultz popped the easy putt for the victory.

Some may call it a three horse race at this point, but as Yoda would put it, "foolish it is to underestimate the powers of G2". MORE...
