Feldberg Wins Dawgfight
David Feldberg Nov 18 - Brawling his way past seven other elite disc golfers, Oregon's David Feldberg is the 2007 Players Cup Champion, taking the title and the $10,000 first prize by a single throw.

18 year-old Garrett "Double G" Gurthie of Florida failed to make a 25-foot putt on the final hole to push a playoff. The miss would put Gurthie into a three-way tie for second place with Nathan Doss and Markus Kallstrom.

Some of the best rounds of the tournament were turned in on Sunday, including three 8-under-par 57s by Josh Anthon, Dean Tannock and Matthew Orum.

In the Women's division, Des Reading took it easy and carded her highest score of the tournament to win by two, while Elaine King and current World Champ Val Jenkins battled for second place. The two finished tied, with Carrie Berlogar taking fourth.

Thanks to all the players, staff, sponsors, and volunteers for making Players Cup another huge success! Special thanks to the awesome folks at Sun King Discs and Discraft for making it all possible. Keep watching for more photos to come, and we'll see you next year!

Eight Players Share First and Second Place
Flight at the Red Hawk Nov 17 - Setting up a hair-raising finish, a total of eight players either share the lead or are one throw back of the leaders after the second of three rounds. It's anyone's tournament now, as Feldberg, Gurthie and Kallstrom sit at -12, while Bennett, Brinster, Climo, Doss and Mela are -11.

In the Women's division, Des Reading holds a solid nine throw lead over Ohio's Val Jenkins, with Elaine King eleven out of the lead. At two under par, Reading's score through round two would put her tied for 21st place in the Open division.

Doss Leads By Two After Round One
Nate Doss Nov 16 - World Champion Nate Doss continued his exceptional performance this season with a nine-under round of 56 during Friday's first of three rounds at the 2007 Players Cup. In chilly conditions with a light breeze throughout the day, Doss put a steady heat onto his game to outlast the rest of the field. Saturday's Open leader group will be Doss, Steve Brinster (58), Adam Olsen (58), and 2006 Players Cup champ Avery Jenkins (58).

On the Women's side, former World Champ Des Reading was the only player in her division to shoot under par (-2), and holds a six throw lead over another former World Champ, Elaine King.
